Are you experiencing a slump in sales this summer? Are you searching for new customers? Have you considered promotional products for your events, giveaways or just general branding? Here are three ideas to help you with Promotional Marketing this summer.

Promotional Marketing

1 Why Promotional Products

What are promotional products to begin with? Anything that you can print or custom embroider can become a promotional product. Most companies use a t-shirt, polo shirts, dress shirts, hats, pens, pencils. These are all items that are tangible things are perfect ice breakers with new clients or returning clients. Don’t take our word for it, though. PPAI did a study that confirms the effectiveness of promotional products. Here are the results:

  • 94% could recall a promotional product they had received in the past two years.
  • 89% could also recall the advertiser that gave them the product.
  • 48% would like to receive promotional products more often.
  • 69% generally keep the promotional product given to them.

What does all of this mean for your business? Almost 50% of customers today want promotional products given to them by companies. After they receive the promotional products they:

  • feel better and think more positively about the business
  • customers do more business after having received promotional products

2 School Spirit

Within communities across America, school spirit is strong and deep. Free promotional products like custom embroidered t-shirts and hats get people excited. Friends and family love wearing school apparel that supports their athlete. When you partner with a local booster club or school athletic department and co-brand the apparel, you not only promote the school but your brand too. The local community will see from the co-branded apparel that you care about your local community. This gives you a huge credibility boost with local shoppers.

3 Go Where The People Are

During the summer months throughout the country, there are state fairs galore. These festivals take place during the months of July & August. These venues are a great way to reach people across the state and outside your normal range of business. Eighty-two percent of recipients that receive promotional products at a fair say they keep them because they are useful. The key is to give something that is purposeful like:

  • a hat
  • keep it clip
  • pen/pencils
  • flashlight (LED)
  • USB Drive
